Avid AE 3x23 shock shafts are chrome-plated to ensure the smoothest surface possible. They utilize Associated's V2 screw mount design to keep the piston in place.

Tips

• When installing, we recommend that you place the shiny side of the washer that has rounded edges away from the piston. Doing this allows the piston to slightly spin when the screw is fully tightened down so it doesn't deform the piston under the screw pressure.
• We recommend that when replacing shafts you always replace them with the Avid X-rings, Avid Machined Shock Spacers, and Avid Slop Oring Grease.
